I dedicate my life to creating music and musicians. I learn. I perform. I teach. My life mission brings far away worlds from the medieval period to modern day into the depths of my mind and being. My journey changes between the piano, harpsichord, organ, voice, percussion, and choral conducting. I am a chamber musician, soloist, conductor, and teacher. Welcome to a look into my world.
My music journey began on a farm outside of Lodi, CA. I attended University of Colorado Boulder College of Music where I graduated at the top of my class with a Bachelor and Master of Music in piano performance. I moved to San Francisco where I started working as a freelance pianist and piano teacher. I play in two duos with violinist Anthony Martin of the Cantata Collective and cellist Sandy Wilson from the Alexander String Quartet. I also play organ and harpsichord in a trio with Peter Hallifax and Julie Jeffrey, who play viola da gamba in the Barefoot Chamber Concert Series. My recent performances have been in California, Connecticut, France, and Colorado. I am the Director of Music Ministries at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic church in Berkeley and teach pianists at my studio in East Richmond Heights. I have been teaching piano since 1987.
